About the Provider

Camille Vaughan, MD, MS is Associate Professor in the Emory University Department of Medicine, Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics. She graduated from the University of Tennessee (summa cum laude). She received her MD and MS (clinical research) degrees from Emory University. Dr. Vaughan completed her residency in internal medicine and geriatrics fellowship at Emory University and is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Vaughan currently serves as Atlanta Site Director of the Birmingham/Atlanta VA Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center as well as Section Chief for Geriatrics & Gerontology at Emory University.  As a clinician-investigator, her research focuses on optimizing care for older adults with multiple chronic conditions with a focus on urinary symptom management in persons with Parkinson disease and interventions to promote safe prescribing for older adults seen in the Emergency Department.  She currently receives funding from the VA, NIH, and AHRQ.

Dr. Vaughan’s clinical practice is based at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, the Emory Clinic at 1525 Clifton, and the Emory Parkinson Comprehensive Care Clinic.

Dr. Vaughan teaches students, residents, and fellows through various programs at the Emory University School of Medicine.

She has served as a member of the American Geriatrics Society Research Committee since 2013.

To provide the highest quality of care, interpreter services may be utilized to ensure proper communication of medical information for deaf, hard-of-hearing, and non-English speaking patients or family members.
