No Dr see a lot of patients not knowing what they're going to be getting into and that causes a lot of delays. First time I've was at Eye clinic was an emergency and I know I blew the schedule up when I was there very pleased with the doctor and her attention and friendliness.

Dr Urias is not my regular Doctor. I took the first available appointment since there was something wrong with my eye. Turns out that my left eye pressure was through the roof. Dr. Urias took a long time to listen to me and make an accurate diagnosis. I could tell that she's really in the medical field to help people. So genuine and warm. She put me at ease immediately and gave me a regimen of eye drops so my eye pressure decreases. She asked me to follow up in 2 days and was just so amazing. She's the best Opthalmologist that I've seen in these 10 years of battling this condition

Although the physician was qualified and experienced and even pleasant, no comments were made to include my thoughts about my care.
- 3 out of 5 starsReviewed on 2/9/2026
The provider, Dr. Uriah, spent the whole time complaining about how terrible the recovery is for patients who have tragedies. AE retinal detachment surgery. I've had that procedure done seven times and I'm committed to being a patient that follows Dr.'s directions. I felt that her complaining in front of the patient was very unprofessional and very poor taste. It also showed a big lack of sympathy for her patients. I understand that all she does is corny as and she's an excellent surgeon, but her bedside manner needs some work.

Dr Urias provides exceptional care.

I would highly recommend Emory Eye Clinic. I'm glad that you list the disclaimer that in order to give and receive excellent care and a comprehensive examination, it will probably take a total of 2 to 4 hours. If oEach patient needs, wants, and expects excellent care, and the only way that that level of care can be obtained is that it requires time. Dr. Elizabeth Urias is very knowledgeable, professional, personable, and caring.

Dr Urias shook my hand. She looked me directly and d sad he spoke to me respectfully Obviously you can't teach that: but the "Therapeutic Bond" Is built or destroyed in mere minutes-I was supremely disappointed by my overall experience at ESJH.., BUT DR URIAS REDEEMED THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE

Seem very cocky no concern for anyone's time but herself. Waiting three hours in an extra hour because we came early to make sure we were on time there has to be a way they can communicate With the patient that they are running 2 to 3 hours behind time so we can delay our arrival times we expressed this to them. I had to teach a class and had to text my team to let them know. I was unable to work based on this delay and felt like a hostage in the room waiting for the doctor to arrive to see me. My wife drove me. She had a conference call schedule. She also unfortunately missed her training conference call that was scheduled for that timeframe. It is stressful and enough, going to cancer and having to do all the steps to stay on top of everything and to show up we appreciate Emory for everything that they have done through this journey. This department definitely needs an overhaul every time. I'm there. It seems to be an issue.

Dr. Urias is a good listener, appears thorough and pleasant. My only complaint, and it's not a complaint really, is the delay between appointment time and meeting with the doctor. There are some health conditions I would think that this type of delay would be uncomfortable for a patient.

Eye doctor conducted a thorough exam, asked probing but not intrusive questions and was thorough in explaining recommendations for treatment and clear in explaining to return in a month for follow up and eye dilation. She offered dilation at visit but I was concerned about driving in heavy track with potentially blurry eyes.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 1/22/2025
Dr. Urias was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. She thoroughly discussed my medical history, administered the eye exam, and recommended some changes to my medications. Dr. Urias discussed 3 options that I would need to consider. Although none of the options are available at Emory, she explained each option in detail. She exemplified a caring and helpful demeanor. I felt at very ease with her. The nurse/technician inserted my bandage contact lenses without any difficulties. She also exhibited a willing spirit and friendly disposition. Although I don't live In the Atlanta area, I have no problem In traveling for my follow-up appointment in 3 months. Great visit from beginning to end.
