Although very nice. I don't feel like she was listening to me. I haven't been to the doctor in a while and my main reason for booking the appointment was to get back on my medicine. I have a long documented history of ADHD and I expressed to her that I wanted to get back on and that my former PCP was no longer with Emory. I felt she seemed as if assumed I was just young, all over the place and irrational. When I expressed the severity she said one thing at a time and recommended me to a good psychiatrist. I believe the referral she gave me didn't accept my insurance. Nevertheless, I understand protocols but I didn't feel heard or supported. I didn't walk out the office with a plan it just feels like I set an appointment for lab work. In my results she mentioned my vitamin d levels were low and only prescribed 4 pills. I have been treated for this before and recieved a prescription for at least 30ct. Not sure why but I feel like it's counter productive to get a refill each month for vitamin D. I'm frustrated with my overall experience. Finding a new pcp after recovering from alcoholism and sharing that history in confidence to walk out feeling like I was judged like an addict when I just wanted help was unfortunate. More over the emotional component, I feel like it was a waste of time and resources

I am considering changing Primary Care Physicians because my current one is far away from my home and I was looking into Dr. Pillot Magee. I've had my same PCP for many years and I love our relationship but Dr. Pillot Magee has me sold. She has such a caring, nuturing, and calming demeanor and she took the time to get to know me personally before getting into my medical history and my healthcare plan. She's an excellent active listener and I appreciate that she partnered with me on what my health goals will be for the year. I prefer my physicians to collaborate with me versus telling me what to do because it shows they've taken my individual preferences and hesitations into consideration. All in all she was perfect and I look forward to continuing my care with her.

Dr. Magee was EXCELLENT. She asked My permission to record My answers so she could get to know me better as a NEW Patient of hers later when My test results would you come in which I gladly said Yes and was glad she cared enough to take more of her time later to listen and study my history and current information that works come forth as a result of today's visit (if there's anything different)
