Dr. Derquis Johnson is very professional yet easy to communicate with. She doesn't use medical terminology that you don't understand and when she does she explains In language that even a child could understand.She listens keenly to details and she advices and recommends solutions to my medical issues.She has gained my trust to be my care provider.

I was looking for a new PCP after mine left Emory late last year. I do not think this practice is for me. I explained my situation and the NP's response was if bloodwork shows normal, I cannot prescribe meds. She was. It concerned about my symptoms or giving me relief. She was only concerned about her license and not prescribing information based on what another board certified md had already diagnosed. I will continue looking for a new PCP and visit with my ob/gyn

Dr. Johnson listens to your concerns and spend time explaining the treatment plan.

Derquis Johnson is an excellent care provider! She listens, is not quick to push pills but supplements, diet changes and exercise.Consequently, I was blessed to have all of my labs come back normal range. No longer borderline diabetic!

There were not any discussions. But I felt rushed since I waited so long in the room and then she forgot to order 2 diflucan pills and I put it in the portal and still nothing. This antibiotic gives me a terrible yeast infection and we discussed that 3 times so I don't know what gives!!!

I really appreciated how thorough Dr. Johnson was. She reviewed my history, walked me through some options of what could be happening but wanted to do more testing to be sure. She was patient and kind. I felt like she really cared about me as a patient and it wasn't just another day in the office. I feel really good about having her as my PCP.

DNP Johnson absorbed my telling of my multiple health factors, gave me an exam of my heart, carotid artery, legs which had swelling and right ankle that had skin cancer MOH's surgery and took time to try to consider all possible health symptoms including muscle weakness and fatigue. She listened and considered and discussed my questions. I was glad she ordered blood tests, and prescribed a diuretic and potassium low dose "as needed" for leg swelling. I received in my patient portal the results of my blood work which had some results that were out of normal range, and I hope that NP Johnson or my PCP will be able to figure out what is causing the results which in turn seem to be the causes of my fatigue and weakness. I haven't received the provider's assessment yet.

I was given the chance to explain my limitedMedical concerns and the need to seek aPrefered Medical Provider at this time. I was greeted with a personal introduction and asked "how are you feeling today". I was given eye contact at all times. (rather thanHaving a provider at the computer readingAnd asking questions as reading) most uneasy, non caring experience. Departing not feeling I was at Emory! But, this medicalVisit made me feel this is where I belong at my age, since my Doctor of 22years retired And referred me to another in house staff That referred me to other staff. So I have been searching for a new Medical Provider.
