About the Provider
A Vascular Interventionalist, Dr. David Allison is a board-certified Vascular Interventional Radiologist with South Atlanta Vascular Institute. Dr. Allison is originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, and Radiological Society of North America.
After Medical School and Radiology Residency at the University of Tennessee, he completed his training with a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Allison’s interests and area of expertise include:
- Evaluation and treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome including iliac vein compression, gonadal vein embolization, May Thurner, and nutcracker syndrome
- Treatment and management of deep vein thrombosis(DVT) with removal of clot and re-creation of the deep venous system
- Arterial revascularization and reconstruction for the treatment of complex lifestyle limiting peripheral arterial disease(PAD)
- Uterine fibroid embolization and women’s health
- Superficial venous treatments including ablations and sclerotherapy
