Although my results were not what I had hoped for, Dr. Tompkins walked my through choices and put me at ease as to what my next steps should be.

Dr. Tompkins was wonderful. I chose her because she had done some of her training at a University that specializes in the condition I may have. I was told by two genetic counselors I needed to go to one of the Universities that specializes in the condition, but none of them are located in Georgia. I am so glad I was able to find Dr. Tompkins at Emory that is very knowledgeable about this condition. She is excellent at discussing the condition and answered all my questions. She also has a dry sense of humor, which I like. Since my arrhythmia is intermittent and I have only been able to catch the arrhythmia on a pulse oximeter, she gave me information about a mobile device to help me obtain and ECG while it is happening. She prescribed a medication for me to take as further diagnostics are being done.
