Dr. VanHale carefully listens to my thoughts and feelings and then helps me understand and analyze the different, various situations.I benefit from her analytical approach and I remember some of her specific statements to repeat to myself (when I later might start ruminating, sometimes seemingly helpless), and her words help me better understand accept the situations.

I am seeing a psychiatrist for psychotherapy, so this is not a clear-cut medical issue which is straight forward in resolving. However, my doctor has satisfactorily discussed my problems and presented some options in analysis with me. I would say that I am experiencing much less distress and despair about my family background and relationships than I was when I first started meeting with her.
