About the Provider
As an Attending Physician in the Emory Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP), Dr. Gillespie's clinical work focuses on the treatment of mood, anxiety, stress-related, and eating disorders in adolescents and young adults using empirically-supported treatments such as dialectical behavior therapy in a team setting. In addition, he also serves as Associate Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and is active in resident education as well. His research is presently funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and focuses on the genetic influences, environmental exposures during development, and pathophysiological mechanisms that contribute to risk and clinical progression of stress-related psychiatric and medical disorders.

Best psychiatrist. Gives detailed information about how specific drugs work and how different things affect your brain, etc.

Dr. Gillespie is a good doctor but I dread my appointment because he will be late and talk about a lot of stuff not related to the issue so it ends up being very long appointment unnecessarily. I do appreciate the extra time when needed but it often is not needed.
