Dr. Hales did not seemed rushed. He listened thoughtfully to all of our questions and concerns and gave thorough answers. He was never dismissive or impatient.

Dr Hales answered all my questions and thoroughly explained my treatments moving forward. I am fortunate to be his patient.

It was my first visit with Dr. Hales. A few days before my video call with him, he had left some of his lectures on my treatment, along with some literature to read. With this action, he had me completely ready for the video call. He was exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was very thorough and was well prepared for the video call. He did not rush me at all to end the call. He answered every question I had. Dr. Hales, Dr. Nichols, and Dr. Rafai are all my doctors at Emory. They all make a difference, and they are the ones I trust most, and I would never go to another healthcare provider as long as I am under their care..

All the information I was given was very clear and the information was presented in several ways. All questions were answered in a calm non-rushed way. I appreciate that Dr. Hales answered a question via "My Chart" at about 7 pm - only a couple hours after the question was asked.

He took his time to explain findings and MRI results and was very detailed and thorough.

This was a dreaded process but ended up to be informative and reassuring.Grest job!

My husband's condition has no treatment... So the next steps are to see a social worker and come back in a year. I am my husband's caregiver.. And I was having trouble processing the diagnosis. I was surprised to get a diagnosis and then told to come back in a year. It hit hard...but I am not sure exactly what he could have done differently. If there is no treatment, all you can do is track the disease. So I don't want to take anything way from how we were treated... It just that I had hoped there was something more to be done for my husband... We haven't seen the social worker yet.. So hopefully we will get a plan of some sort together

I felt like Dr. Hale's listened and understood all my questions. He addressed them very completely. I learned more about my condition, current options and research.

Dr Hales is one of the finest people that I have ever met. He knew that I was concerned and nervous at my visit but he took the EXTRA time to listen to my concerns. I am glad that he is my doctor as we move forward.

Dr. Hale did a fantastic job with my lumbar procedure! He explained every step of the procedure as it occurred and performed the procedure perfectly as I felt NO pain and my anxiety quickly evaporated as the procedure progressed! Respectful, polite & professional! Extremely skilled as a Physician!

First time with Dr. Hales. We had a good talk, he spent all the time I needed and he did not act like he was in a hurry to get to the next patient.

Dr. Hales was friendly and professional and spent a good bit of time with us and did not appear to be in a hurry. He explained our options and answered all of our questions. He did a good neuro exam, as well. He explained that the portal can be used for communications and went over what we can expect next. We felt good about our visit with him!
