Severinsky's a hidden gem at Emory. In a clinic full of ophthalmologists, as an optometrist I suspect he doesn't get a lot of respect. Not only does he have knowledge in his field, he's caring, empathetic, and truly concerned about improving his patients' quality of life. He has somewhat of a language barrier, but, then he speaks so many different languages, how can one complain?

The provider understood to a higher degree my problem and seem to be a subject matter expert in this type of treatment and so with all hesitation I would recommend him to others

Dr. Severinsky explained in detail the options that are available to me, along with all the pros and cons. Very caring, thorough and professional.

I told him that I also had an appointment to see a cornea specialist and asked if that still seemed like a good idea since I was going forward with scleral lenses. The answer was only, "That seems like a good idea." No discussion of why it was or the possible consideration of seeing the specialist first. I thought, actually, that I was there for a consultation about whether these lenses were appropriate for my situation, but the assumption on the clinic's side seemed to be that they were there to sell me sclera contacts. They assured me that my vision would be better but did not know whether my issues with starbursts around lights at night would be improved.

I see numerous "specialists"... Dr Severinski is always very pleasant, extremely thorough a communicate with me. He has a smile at times that tells me he's glad to help solve my vision problem. I only have sight in one eye. His efforts over the last year have given me great vision so I can live my life without surgery. One of the best Dr I see.
