Ben is very thorough and explains and answers questions in a way they are understandable

PA spoke loud, fast and seemingly nonstop. Not much opportunity for me to express concerns and questions. I felt my concerns were pretty much brushed off or ignored.

I traveled a total of 5 hours for my "appointment", which consisted of the doctor explaining to me that he "Did not know why I was here." ,and explained if I had been an advocate for my health I would have known he couldn't treat me. It was not only a waste of an entire day for me...it was also an appointment that took me 5years to gain the courage to make.

This provider was rude and spent more time telling me not to come to Emory because there were a lot more closer options . I chose Emory for its reputation and I see now that was a mistake . Will tell everyone I know to stay away.

Overall - a positive experience. Dr. Abebe was about 15-20 minutes late for my telehealth appointment. I almost left the meeting- especially since I had gotten on the video call about 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment and as suggested. Once he arrived, he was very pleasant and attentive, so ultimately, I would recommend him.

Ben does a very good job of explaining things to me. His communication skills are excellent. A caring and compassionate person. I'm glad he's part of my care team. Highly recommend

We had progressed through quite a few options "remotely" via MyChart. That went very well avoiding office visits, creating a written record via Messages, etc.I do not like that Message threads expire after some time (or they expire too quickly) to reply or add notes. On occasion I need to open new message trails (across my other care as well).The doctor/PA summarized and explained my options concisely and very well. I feel I'm on the best path for now and my experiences have improved substantally.

Top of the list in all aspects

The appointment and conversation I had with Ben Abebe was incredible. His knowledge was much appreciated and the way he communicated. He is a true pleasure!

I was not impressed

Aggressively dismissive and argumentative. It was often hard to get a word in, so you have to keep a longer mental queue of the questions and concerns that arise until you eventually get a chance to speak. There were a couple of inaccuracies in their written progress notes that resulted from bad listening. They do not respond well if you advocate for yourself and try to investigate beyond fixing a symptom.A couple of questions were met with quick glib and vague answers. Made overly broad statements that are difficult to go along with, even when I was trying to be deferential. Did not ask for the data necessary for an assessment before they made it.They generally got defensive and dismissive too quickly and were too repetitive in the process. Some other details that highlight these problems were left out to keep this short.

Ben gave me all the next steps and asked for my input which was very important.
