When the nurse left the room, she let me know the doctor would be in soon. I got up to get my book and the doctor came in. I don't think I waited more than two minutes! I was surprised, pleasantly!

Dr. Hoque has been my cardiologist for years. He is very easy to talk too, answers my questions and he is very concerned about my overall health.

Dr Hoque listened to my concerns with compassion, explained what he knew was happening, and explained what my caregiver and I needed to know about the changes he was making to my prescriptions.

I don't recommend health care providers, as each person's needs are different and each one should choose for themselves. I started the conversation by telling Dr. Hoque that I was looking for a cardiologist who would listen to me, and talk to me like I'm an intelligent person; and someone to work with me in addressing my heart issues in as natural a way as possible. He then proceeded to interrupt me numerous times, discounted my interest in natural blood thinners, explained A-Fib to me as if I had no idea what it is or what the risks are (I do), and spent the whole time telling me why the only way to go is to follow the pharmaceutical and medical protocol. I didn't get to ask the questions that I wanted to ask because he kept interrupting to tell me that's what I want to do is wrong. At least he added "It's your choice." And I know that what he was saying is correct, according to his indoctrination at medical school, but I didn't feel that he listened or talked to me like an intelligent person - and he did let me know that the only way he can work with me is if I choose the pharmaceutical route. So, at least he was honest, given what he knows. But I would like to have asked my questions and learned more about what I DON'T know, rather than having a repetitious review of what I already learned from the last cardiologist I tried working with.

Dr Naqvi does not show any concern for the issues I ask him about. He does the bare minimum. I came to him with concerns about having symptoms of a UTI. He did Che k my urine sample, but found no bacteria. He then said that there was nothing he could do about it.
