Dr. Tiliakos is one of my very favorite physicians at Emory (and I have had many). He was recommended to me (if I remember correctly) by the then-head of the Neurology Department. In more than 7 years, he has never failed to disappoint. At the last visit I began to recount for him the hell I had been through medically in the past few weeks, due to a PET scan and an infection for which I was not able to reach a physician or NP until it had done on for way too many weeks. I also told him the results of the PET scan, and when it was not what many of the docs had expected, I told Dr. T what I speculated it might be. He listened so beautifully and responded with such concern and empathy, I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I was. He suggested possible types of specialists to see re the results of the scan and then suggested some supplements known to shrink (my word) the blood vessels and improve blood flow. He was patient, attentive, caring, and had suggestions to stimulate the brain, such as a specific title of crossword puzzle and other games. I hope I am not too specific here about my personal visit or his feedback, but suffice it to say: the man never disappoints--even when the visit is not so full of medical concerns.

Dr. Tiliakos is a top notch, physician. He is the ONLY physician I feel that knows about my rare disease and is not only understanding but never brushes me or any Issues I'm having off. He takes his time is with me, explains things in laymen's terms and if there is a problem he will help me to get to bottom of it. Having a rare, one in a million disease, it's hard to find doctors that want to help, or they brush you off. I am extremely grateful for him and his guidance with my care and feel I would be lost without him. I travel 3 1/2 hours one way to see him because I believe he's the best.

Always a great experience when visiting Dr. Tiliakos. I always feel like I'm not just another number, he is always pleasant, knowledgeable, and allows input from me and makes sure any questions are answered.

Once the doctor recognizes that my blood pressure was very low things were put into order to carry me to the emergency room for help.
