Dr. Lips is an excellent physician. She is very thorough with history taking and quickly and comprehensively evaluates my health status and needs. She is a good.listener and provides thoughtful follow-up and guidance on chronic disease conditions I am experiencing. I believe that she is also a good diagnostician and Is monitoring my future health status and quality of life (I.e., not letting my current conditions worsen and concerned about preventing other serious conditions such as prediabetes crossing over to diabetes). Dr. Lips saw me during this appointment as an initial patient contact to establish care as my Emory Primary Care Provider (PCP), after I received a letter from my previous PCP's office (Dr. Jose Villalon-Gomez), that Dr. Gomez was no longer with Emory. Dr. Lips did a thorough health history assessment to get to know me and my health status and conditions. Dr. Lips listened to my health concerns, reviewed my health records, and asked direct and thoughtful questions about my health behaviors and problems. I feel like she took the time to know me as a patient and also empowered me to raise Issues or ask questions. I feel like Dr. Lips provided a very comprehensive and thorough assessment of my health status and care, and I that I would be included as a "team" member in her management style as my PCP.
