Excellent! Dr Leon took time to discuss my case in detail with me and brought in Dr Bhattia to continue the discussion. I had the impression they would have stayed as long as necessary to answer my questions. Exceptional care and seeing the team approach gives me great confidence in the treatment plan.

I had a recent hospital stay right before Christmas. Dr Leon was able to pull my records from WellStar and advised on some issues that WellStar failed to tell me. He is very thorough with explanations and I always know that I will receive the best care.

I already think Dr Leon walks on water, but my recent visit yesterday surpassed all others. As always, he took time to talk with me and go over my recent tests and asked about recent stress in my life that might impact my Altrial fib. I was sharing information about a dramatic family issue and reached for my phone to share a picture and realized my phone was gone. I panicked, sure I had left it in my Uber ride to the office. Dr Leon immediately picked up his phone and started trying to contact Uber and ease my anxiety leaving his own contact info with the Uber recording. After I left-much calmer- they found my phone in the other cardiac waiting room and started tracking me-no mean task since I had no phone and live 40 miles outside Atlanta. He and his nurse left voice mails on my Griffin land line, left messages on the portal and sent emails so that when I could reach my home computer I would know they had it. I returned to Midtown two hours later without access to those messages still thinking Uber might have returned it to guest services but no luck. I finally went to the 6th floor and all of the staff greeted me with the happy news- and my phone!! Their efforts-especially those of Dr Leon and Debra Blalock-went far beyond prescribed physician care or even their Hippocratic Oath. They had a patient in need and made sure that that need was a priority-even if it didn't fit within their specialty's parameters . If this incredible effort is part of the new Service Model, then Emory is destined to shine even brighter among hospitals of its high calibre-and Cardiology is leading the way!!
