About the Provider
Andrew Murphy, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. He is an expert in general cardiology and structural heart disease imaging, including an in-depth knowledge of the valves of the heart and the interventions in their repair. His clinical interests include general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac computed tomography (CT). He also works with the Emory Structural Heart and Valve program, providing imaging guidance for procedures.
Originally from Plano, Texas, and a proud alum of The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Murphy received his medical degree in 2018 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Upon graduation, he completed his internal medicine training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he also completed a year of chief residency. He then trained at Emory University School of Medicine for his fellowship in cardiovascular disease, along with an additional fellowship in structural heart disease imaging.
He looks forward to serving his community with a warm, patient-centered approach that prioritizes evidence and value-based care.
