I said I thought I was ready to proceed with surgery. He answered my questions but I wish he had explained the surgery in more detail. He pointed out the problem and told me how long the surgery would last but I needed to hear the steps of the procedure that explained why it was a 5 hour operation.

Had the attitude of, the recommendation was the final decision. While they are educated physicians, new treatment options should not be dismissed without at least explaining why they feel like a procedure isn't suited for you.
