About the Provider

Andrea G. Hill, OD, FAAO, joined Emory Eye Center in June 2016. She is an instructor in the section of Ophthalmology, Vision and Optical Services, at Emory Eye Center. Dr. Hill specializes in comprehensive ocular care, ocular diseases, emergency eye conditions, and cataract post-operative care.
She received her Doctor of Optometry degree summa cum laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University. Dr. Hill’s postgraduate medical training included a residency in ocular disease at the Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
More recently, Dr. Hill worked in a high-volume ophthalmology setting focusing on ocular disease, triage, and co-management. Her previous service experience includes a medical ocular mission trip to Mexico in 2010. She also conducted free vision screenings with the Special Olympics and the Hispanic Health Fair.
National Recognition
Dr. Hill is board certified through the American Board of Optometry, a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the Georgia Optometric Association. She has received several awards and honors; including, the Second Year Basic Science Award, the Second Year Clinical Science Award, the National Board of Examiners in Optometry Award, the 2011 Bausch and Lomb Endowed Award, and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.

    Very knowledgeable practitioner but she walked in and didn't apologize for the 45 mi. Delay, nor did she introduce herself. Clearly she was doing the best to handle a very large patient load. Hire more practitioners Emory!
