Excellent experience

Dr.Costarides is one of a few amazing doctor I have had in my lifetime. Inspire of the pressure of an unrelenting stream of patients, when he is with you he is totally there and focused on you. He has prepped with your history. He grapples with broken equipment ( part of the support in the patient's chair during the exam kept collapsing-not dangerous-but requiring that he start all over again with that part of the exam.

I felt well cared for as always after seeing the provider. My questions were answered and treatment plan was explained .

Because of the unhealthy and unsafe environment in the waiting rooms, I left before seeing Dr. Costarides. I had a 1:30 appointment and it was 4 PM when I left. Fortunately, Dr. Costarides reached out to me and we worked out a time for the following day that I could come into the practice. I strongly recommend Dr. Costarides, but not Emory Ophthalmology because of the shoddy management and upkeep of the facility. By the way I've been Dr. Costarides for approximately 15 years.

Dr. Costarides squeezed me in due to a problem I was having. He was very thorough in his exam and made a recommendation for my next visit. He was patient and explained everything.

I asked questions and gave quick one words answers. In the exam room while waiting on the doctor to come in I could hear him talking for about 20 minutes before he came in to exam me, talking about none medical concern or subjects. Could have step in and inform me of what was taking so long. And when he came it took all of five minutes. I feel my eyes was not dilated any more, he said he could not find my information in the system and system needed to be improved with by way of numbering the patient. A system failure that was the problem but no one came to tell me. That's not good always informed the patient of what's the hold up, or what going on. Thank you that would help a hold lot.

This was one of FASTEST visits to the Ophthalmology Dept. Waiting rooms were not crowded. Waiting time was the fastest that I have experienced. Staff was super helpful, even at check out.

Dr. Costarides is truly the best glaucoma specialist there is. His wisdom and compassion are what him the great the physician he is. Please don't ever let Emory loose him because you will never find another Dr. Costarides. He is truly one of a kind and I owe my life to him. At the age of 21 years old he is the first doctor to diagnose my ischemic event. Without his prompt treatment and care I could have lost my life at the age of 21. I will forever be grateful to him!

Best eye doctor I ever had

I have been a patient of Dr Costarides for 22 years and he is the absolute best!! I have had periods of consistent eye health and any of acute issues and I feel like I always receive the most personal and compassionate care from Dr C and most of his staff!! Dr. Costarides Is very knowledgable and personable. However, the 2 hour 40 minutes time for my total visit and Dr. Costarides seeing me for maybe 5 minutes Is unacceptable. He needs to limit the number of patients he sees each day.

The only reason I continue to use the provider is because he is one of the best in the understanding of glaucoma. However, after waiting 4 hours to see the provider. The provider rushes through the examination and does not have time to provide feedback or address my fears.

However the excessive time spent in the waiting room is the WORST of any medical office I have ever experienced. I love my providers but I hate the waiting to get to see the provider , My visual field was scheduled for 1:30 arrived as told at 1:15 my provider visit wax scheduled for 2:20 saw the doctor at 4:30 pm . Not acceptable . One should not have to spend so many hrs there for a visit . Your intake and full process needs a te evaluation . To have to wait an entire afternoon is disrespectful to anyone.
