About the Provider
Alexis began her journey in healthcare at the University of Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at South University in Savannah, Georgia, and became board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in 2019.
After graduating, she returned to Atlanta and began her clinical career in Urogynecology. She later spent four years working in General Surgery, where she gained valuable experience in caring for post-operative and acute care patients. In 2024, she joined Emory Heart & Vascular and currently provides inpatient care at Emory University Hospital as part of the vascular surgery team.
She was drawn to becoming a physician assistant because she wanted to combine a deep understanding of science and medicine with meaningful, hands-on care for patients. In vascular surgery, she has the opportunity to treat patients with a wide variety of complex conditions. She finds fulfillment in building rapport with them and supporting their progress and recovery throughout their hospitalization. She is also a life-long learner and values working at an academic center and the collaborative environment that Emory provides.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their twins. She also loves to travel and is an avid runner.
