I have seen 3 different Cardiologist at this facility and all of them I would recommend to anyone.

Dr Sommerfeld is very easy to talk to and explains every thing in ways that are easy to understand. He is extremely helpful and listens well.

This was our first visit with Dr Sommerfeld. My husband was leary about having a new cardiologist after 9 years with Dr E. Dr Sommerfeld had read my husbands chart and was familiar with his heart condition. He explained the reason for obtaining a PET cardiac scan and the need to postpone his knee surgery until the results were availableMy husband is very comfortable going forward with Dr Sommerfeld as his cardiologist.

I have recommended Dr Sommerfeld to others. He is beyond Superior as a cardiologist. I have been to two others. One of them had me on a medicine I should not be taking (at the time I was not aware of this.) In the meantime, I saw my primary doctor for another reasonand as we were going over my meds. She came across that particular med. (the one I was taking but shouldn't have been taking, for my heart. She asked me who gave me that med and I said my cardiologist. Bluntly, she said..what cardiologist prescribed you this medicine? I didn't tell her the name. I have known and trusted my primary care doctor for the past years. Longer story short. I then decided to change cardiologist and seek a new one. My vascular doctor (who was about to retire) recommended Dr Sommerfeld. He told me Dr S.was relatively young but he had interacted with him on many occasions and highly recommended him. I then saw Alex. I have mentioned this story to give you a full picture of the exceptional cardiologist that I am seeing now, Dr Alex Summerfeld. When I initially saw him, after he reviewed my meds, he asked.who gave you this medicine (the one I should not be taking.)
