There was some uncertainty about my surgery date due to my oncologist surgeon wanting to meet with me again to discuss some things that would postpone my surgery date. Dr. Losken immediately called her and explained my desires, and she agreed to move forward with the current surgery date without another appointment. I also had some questions after the appointment, and he called to answer my questions.

Dr. Listen was very knowledgeable and informative about the procedure I needed to reconstruct by left breast after having a lumpectomy, and procedure for my right breast. He brought in the doctor that would be assisting to him to talk about the procedures he would be performing.

Follow-up was excellent and all questions were answered.

I did not know care would be provided by a team'. No continuity of care- especially during hospitalizations . I thought Dr. Losken was a private' physician.

Dr. Losken is an example of how all surgeons should be. He is compassionate & personal. It makes a difference when having to rebuild your body & life after breast cancer.

Dr. Listen seemed detached and responded negatively to questions about options to obtain the outcome I wanted. I probed to get more explanation but the responses from him were short.

I understand that x number of options must be considered before any type of surgical procedure, I find the length of time I'm left to my own devices is unreasonable all things considered and having a Doctor that seems not willing to spend enough time with a patient to get out my concerns. Wait so long for appointment for him to rush out of room, feels like my case is almost boring to him and due size of wound. I was originally hit by a Marta bus and both ankles were crushed the bus ended up on top of my right ankle and dragged 20 feet. So the chronic nerve damage and pain is very real and since the muscle used to save leg came from my left thy worry about infection to muscle that might compromise wound.
