Dr Nooka is an incredible physician. His bedside manner and level of expertise are absolutely incredible. Sometimes when doctors become so advanced in their field or have responsibilities in both academia and the clinical setting, their bedside manner seems to suffer, and they become more detached from their patients as they hurry in and out of their visits, but this is absolutely opposite for Dr. Nooka. He engages with me and my family member that comes with me to my appointments, he is very informative and involves me in my healthcare and his decision-making and recommendations, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of care and the manner in which it is delivered by him. I travel from 3 1/2 hours away for visits with him, and I would travel twice that far if needed, for this experience and the clinical expertise that is being Implemented in my care.

My Provider, Ajay Nooka showed sincere concern for me, my daughters and condition. Dr. Nooka put thought and care with his team when planning for my after care of Multiple myeloma. Decisions for my care was made with careful consideration for my condition. Doctor Nooka explained my test results and took the time to go through every test results explaining what they showed and gave detailed simple feedback of each. He described aftercare treatment concerning medication to be taken, how and when and length of time. We discussed aftercare follow up plans. Doctor Nooka is an outstanding physician and an expert in his field as I'm sure you know already, and he is by far a wonderful human being that brings so much hope and passion to his patients working together with them for a good outcome! Meeting Doctor Nooka for the first time and listening to him explain my diagnosis of Multiple myeloma was encouraging and frightening at the same time but Dr. Nooka assured me that with my 100% cooperation we could have a positive outcome as a team and knew at that moment God was in the mist and Dr. Nooka did what he does for All of his patients, He went to work with his team to bring about an outcome I prayed and hope for. And that's to be cancer free and to recover my kidney function. Thank you Dr. Nooka and your amazing team of nurses, staff and social workers at Emory

The care Dr Nooka and Emory gave me is wonderful!
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 10/23/2024
Emory has blown me and my family (and my nurse practitioner daughter!) away with the quality of expert care while still paying attention to how the patient is treated as a person. Patient-centered care where the patient is fully informed and educated and can ask any questions with thorough, appropriate level education, means so much and is unfortunately uncommon in some institutions of healthcare, but I've found it to be the norm and standard at Emory, and I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Nooka and his team! Theresa Brannon and the nurse (or assistant) Olivia who helped me into my room excelled in the care and empathy and information they provided me, and I know this impacted my entire experience in such a positive way!
