She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and a fellowship in gastroenterology as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation again at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Iskandar chose to focus in gastroenterology because it offers the opportunity to treat both chronic and acute illness with both medications and hands-on procedures. Her focus is inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's and Ulcerative colitis).
