Dr Garrard did an excellent job explaining my imaging and options. Additionally, I appreciated him taking time to answer my questions and he made sure I was good before I left the office. This gave me a peace of mind so that I could end a long journey with back pain.

Dr. Garrard is amazing. He truly saved my life and did my surgery five years ago, which changed my life and reduced my pain greatly. The only thing that I can say is that there is a significant difference. I could tell this time he was rushed, where as in the past he was not rushed at all and spent a lot of time with me.

Dr. Garrard is so easy to talk to and so smart and explains everything and doesn't act rushed.

Dr Garrard answered all my questions and explained in detail the proposed surgery and its possible results and issues. I am not a fan of telemedicine, however, and will avoid scheduling that type of appointment in the future. Too many glitches in the current technology.

Emory is The Best!

Dr. Garrard performed a miracle with my cervical fusion, and there have been no issues in these five years. The discomfort I'm feeling is due to my sedentary work and lifestyle. Everything is still good from the procedure.. I guess I wanted a little more TLC from him after the drive and wait time. He seemed very rushed.

My husband and I love Dr. Garrard. He's did a great job repairing my back. I'm progressing along great. He's very professional, competent, and a caring doctor. I would highly recommend him as a great back surgeon. We traveled 2 hours for my back surgery and 2 hours post op visits. It's been well worth it!

Dr. Garrard is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about him. He's done 3 surgeries on me and was good about visiting me in the hospital to follow up after my surgery, even came in on Sunday! Very impressed with his skills, professionalism and he has an excellent bedside manner and personality.

My husband accompanied me to this visit. Afterwards we discussed Dr Garrard and how wonderful he was. I've been to many doctors with Peachtree Ortho and were amazed with the difference at Emory. Not only did Dr Garrard have the best bedside manner, he also offered more suggestions and spent more time in this consultation than any other doctor I've met with. I feel like I've found a doctor who will "shepherd" me through my situation, and not one who is only concerned with his specialty, surgery. After this experience we have decided to use the Emory Healthcare system whenever possible.

Dr. Garrard is a caring, concerned physician. He spent time studying my problem, had all the necessary preliminary tests done in order to make an informed decision regarding what to do, studied the results (and probably discussed with other surgeons), and reached a better solution to my problem. Dr. Harare's and his entire team were outstanding! Unfortunately I have had over 25 surgeries in 1en years from legs, to open heart surgery to back and neck surgeries.This was the least unpleasant surgery I've had.Options explained thoroughly as well as risk/reward. Dr. Garrard was exceptionally knowledgeable, and offered more info on my condition and possible treatment options than any other spine specialist I have seen. My only issue was that he spoke very fast and I would have like notes of all of the options in writing as well I did not sleep well the night before the appointment so my mind was hazier than usual.
